Our world, it is a changing.

That is hardly news.

According to a variety of sources on (what else?) the Internet:
  • Fox News viewership is at an all-time high.
  • CNN’s viewership is plummeting.
  • Circulation of the print version of U.S. newspapers continues to decline (although The Wall Street Journal bucked the trend with a 0.5 perceny increase in 2009).
  • The number of blogs grew to 126 million in that same time period.
  • News of deaths, earthquakes, and protests often breaks on Twitter.
  • Patches” are cropping up here in Pennsylvania and elsewhere
  • Philadelphia’s public radio station, WHYY, has ambitious plans to expand its community news coverage online.
  • The Pocono Record recently started charging for online content.
The changes are dizzying.

Whether you view them as daunting, disturbing or delicious, what better group to dissect them with than other professional communicators?

We welcome you to join the Pennsylvania Press Club for networking, conversation (online and in person at our annual luncheon) and a chance to participate in our popular communications contest.
